Introducing - The Middle East

Songs of esteemed beauty from The Middle East, an Australian band who, with any luck, will follow the example set last year by Fleet Foxes and their meteoric rise from the blogosphere to commercial acclaim.

Like their American counter-parts, The Middle East produce a soothing, symphonic sound of delicate guitar licks and cascading vocals, yet the songs are dressed with enough joy to avoid the potential 'heard-it-all-before' scenario. Simultaneously uplifting and heart-wrenching, The Middle East are a band to fall in love with, holding more emotional and reflective potency in one song than the majority of bands produce in their life time. These two tracks are on their 2007 EP which can be streamed via their // Official site //

With the band currently plugging away at the infamous SXSW festival, their seemingly inevitable rise may be set to materialize very soon.
