Milano Sun - 'Already Gone'

These bare-torsoed chaps are Milano Sun from Gothenberg, Sweden. Their promo shot suggests a strange aversion to clothes but judging by this, their debut single, they're in no way averse to joyous, laid back hooks. This is easy to digest pop that's armed with enough finger-tapping power and sparkly little touches to make you pine for summer. Lovely stuff altogether.

New Video: This Club - 'I Won't Worry'

Attention: the feel good hit of the summer has just arrived. This Club (formerly Hoarsebox) have rebounded from their name-change with debut single 'I Won't Worry' - a colourful, carefree and blindingly upbeat indie-pop anthem.

An effervescent chorus, hooks-a-plenty, handclaps and funky arrangements - this insatiable debut offering has the lot and the video is just as high-spirited, showcasing the cheeriest bout of busking I've ever seen. They'd make a fortune on Grafton St. that's for sure.

'I Won't Worry' is available now from iTunes, while their debut album - recorded with producer Dennis Herring at Sweet Tea Studios in Mississippi - will follow in 2012. By that stage you're likely to have heard much more about this track...

New Music: Grand Pocket Orchestra - 'Ooo La Te Woo'

I wasn't wholly enamoured with their debut but this new track from Dubliners Grand Pocket Orchestra is definitely a more promising affair. More focused than previous efforts, and without a mish-mash of different bits and bobs vying for your attention, 'Ooo La Te Woo' is a nice slab of lo-fi pop goodness. Taken from their second album, which they're currently putting the finishing touches to, it's also available as a free download - just click the little downward arrow there like a good chap and it's all yours.

GPOs upcoming tour dates:

July17th//  DUBLIN, WHELANS (Popical Redux) w/Ginnels and Land Lovers
July 19th// LONDON, OLD QUEENS HEAD w/Jape and The Racket
August 3rd// DUBLIN, WHELANS (Headline Show)
August 4th// GALWAY (Popicalia #11) w/Retarded Cop, Lad Lovers, Tieranniesaur and Groom

Trophy Boyfriend Remixes Jewdward's 'Lipstick'

As the Über-quiffed pair prepare to take on the rest of Europe, Gregor Ruigrok aka Trophy Boyfriend has morphed their incessant pop-tune into an 'emotional Eurovision' power ballad. Crank up those wind machines because this is brilliant. The stellar cover art is courtesy of Alan O'Regan.

Regina - 'Jos Et Sä Soita (If You Don't Call Me)'

The wonderful Bitzl Bitzl R tipped me of about this gem - an infectious, hazy nugget of unashamed bliss. The soundtrack to immersing oneself in a colourful and sweltering Mexican town; this tune actually comes courtesy of Regina - a Helsinki-based trio. Geographical confusion aside, this remains the perfect way to start your day.
